Circus Pony

This is artwork I made for a girl’s skateboard brand/lifestyle brand I was considering starting called Circus Pony. I created a lot of patterns using PowerPoint and placed these within the jewels in the images. I hand painted the animals (this was before I had an iPad), scanned them, retouched them and then made these layouts. The garments are just mock-ups. This was a stage in my journey before I stumbled across a way to create the work I am making now for interiors.

I’m inspired by Indian saris, the Scottish countryside, pop culture and nature documentaries.

I took a lot of fashion illustration classes at CSM with Neil Gilks. This is one of the best drawings I created.

I love queer culture, Rosalía, maximalism, Baz Luhrmann, Anne-Sophie Cochevelou, Pierre et Gilles, Japanese fashion with lots of cute stuff
